The New Zealand SAP User Group (NZSUG) provides a framework for individuals and organizations to collaborate and enhance their networking relationships within the New Zealand SAP community. NZSUG is committed to promoting the relationship between SAP and Implementation Partners with our members, providing greater access to SAP experts and their knowledge in a collaborative forum.

The New Zealand SAP user group is maintained through the efforts of a few key members, who volunteer their free time. Your feedback and involvement in events will only strengthen and add value to the SAP community in New Zealand.

The New Zealand SAP User Group is run by the SAP User Group Executive.

Nigel Bernie

 

Chairperson (New Zealand SAP User Group)

Nigel has been involved in the SAP community  since mid 2000. Over the years he has held roles in IT management, project management and accounting at places such as Auckland Regional Council and Impact Presentation & Shredding Supples. His current role is Manager, IT Business Systems at Vector Limited where his team is responsible for supporting Vector's SAP system along with applications such as Siebel, SmallWorld and Gentrack.

John Barlow - Barlow Group

Chairperson Designate (New Zealand SAP Business One User Group)

Responsible for the Development  of the Barlow Group’s various business streams he was also responsible for implementation of SAP Business One into two diverse companies within the group, Devan Group, which manufactures and sells nationally a range of medium to large plastic water tanks and waste water treatment systems and Superloo, which rents portable toilets to the events and building industries.  As a result of this involvement with SAP B1 it became obvious that there was a need for the B1 community to have a forum for exchange of ideas and develop a coordinated a channel through to the suppliers.  This lead John to spearhead the formation of the B1 User Group here in New Zealand.

John Holley - Group Manager ICT, Auckland Regional Council

 John Holley is the Group Manager ICT for the Auckland Regional Council. Before this, he has held a number of IT management, sales, and consulting roles, including at the University of Auckland and the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind.

Emilie Lad - Mighty River Power Limited

Emilie’s 11 years of experience in SAP started in an accounting role at BBC Worldwide in the UK.   On return to New Zealand in 2000, Emilie’s involvement with SAP continued at Visy Industries Beverage Can plant in Wiri.  This role provided exposure to Manufacturing, Sales and Distribution as well as FICO.

Emilie held contracting roles for a five year period across a broad range of industries including Manufacturing, FMCG, Utilities and Media.  During this time she was involved in a number of upgrades and implementations. 

Julian Phillips - Gallagher Group Ltd

Originally based in the UK, Julian moved to New Zealand in 2001, firstly remote working for Roto-Frank, a German based multi-national, then as the I.T. Manager for New Zealand based company Click-Clack based in Palmerston North.

Julian's career started in IT from the grand age of 16 dabbling with computers before moving into employment as a machine code programmer. In the early 90's Julian moved into I.T. management and has lived in that role ever since.

Graeme Riley, Managing Director, SAP New Zealand

 Graeme joined SAP New Zealand from Infor where he was VP Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong. He was responsible for Infor’s strategic solutions and channels businesses across the region. A New Zealander, Graeme built his career in the local IT market including time as Wellington branch manager for FACT and then as General Manager of GEAC through the late 80s and 90s. In 1999 Graeme lead the development and worldwide launch of GEAC’s ERP product, Streamline, then moved to Australia to head GEAC’s Asia Pacific business. For the last few years he has worked in leadership roles for SSA and, following SSA’s acquisition by Infor in 2006, he moved to his most recent role
