Tim Rivett - Inland Revenue
![]() |
Tim has been involved with SAP since 1997 when he was the Inland Revenue team lead in their selection and implementation of SAP as the department’s FMIS. Appointed to a new position as Manager FMIS, Tim was involved in the implementation of SAP Payroll to administer New Zealand’s Paid Parental Leave scheme as well as SAP BW/SEM to support Inland Revenue’s financial planning, forecasting and reporting. |
A couple of upgrades later saw Tim play a governance role in IR’s implementation of SAP PSCD to support KiwiSaver and he subsequently became the IR KiwiSaver systems owner. At the same time Tim led an initiative to build a business case to implement full HR/Payroll functionality as well as significant enhancements to existing finance, procurement and reporting. The business case was approved by Inland Revenue’s management Board and the subsequent implementation went live in September 2008.
When not living and breathing SAP, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, DIY (not yet a DIY rescue case) and is an armchair motor sports fan.
